Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework
Community pharmacies in England provide services under the NHS Community Pharmacy Contractual framework (CPCF). Services sit within the following categories:
Essential services – these are provided by all pharmacy contractors under a clinical governance framework that includes clinical audit and information governance requirements.
Advanced services – which can be provided by all contractors once accreditation requirements have been met and are commissioned by NHS England.
Locally commissioned services – these are local services commissioned from community pharmacy by local authorities or Integrated Care Systems to meet the needs of their patients.
