Sussex Pharmacy Conference Saturday 16th May 2026

CPSS are delighted to have attended the Sussex Pharmacy Conference on Saturday at the University of Brighton! It was so inspiring to see the passion at the event from pharmacy professionals across different sectors, and we’re pleased to be part of this amazing collaboration.

David Webb set the scene with a great keynote speech, which led us nicely to brilliant workshops hosted by Sussex pharmacy professionals. Our CEO, Julia Powell, was invited to join the panel discussions to round up the day and highlighted the important role Community Pharmacy has to offer in Neighbourhood working, as well as recognising how community pharmacy is seen as a key stakeholder in Sussex and the importance of continuing the collaborative work thus far.

A huge thank you to Abbie Kingston, Wyborns Pharmacy, for supporting the ‘Pharmacy Technicians in Action: Bridging Theory and Practice with Interactive Case-Based Learning’ workshop. The session gave a real insight into Pharmacy Technicians working under PGDs in Community Pharmacy and the evolving role of Pharmacy Technicians.

CPSS are proud to have shared the excellent work on IP Pathfinder Community Pharmacy Independent Prescriber Led HRT Reviews, Embedding Community Pharmacy in Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, The Sussex Experience and the Teach and Treat Model in Sussex Integrated Care System.

And well done to our CEO, Julia Powell, for winning the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK) quiz prize!
