Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) Service, Surrey County Council

Community pharmacies in Surrey are at the heart of supporting those in recovery, playing a pivotal role in reducing drug-related harm and deaths through the dispensing and supervision of Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST).

To ensure you are fully prepared for the upcoming changes to the service specification, Surrey Public Health with CPSS hosted a webinar which explained how activity is logged and introducing a new payment model.

 The webinar covered:

  • PharmOutcomes Live Demonstration: A step-by-step walkthrough on how to log service user demographics (initials, gender, and DOB) and complete entries to trigger payments.
  • The New Payment Structure: Learn how to claim the annual payment per person per financial year. We will explain how this payment is linked to the Harm Reduction question: “Are you carrying Naloxone?”.
  • Integrated Naloxone Provision: Discover how simple it is to deliver the Take Home Naloxone (THN) Public Health Agreement alongside OST, including the additional payment per kit dispensed.

The webinar can be watched on demand here.
