The outcomes of your LPCs recent Special Meetings

Proposals on how CPE and the LPCs could work better together to ensure that contractors get the best possible representation were made by the Review Steering Group (RSG) and supported by an overwhelming majority of community pharmacy contractors in a national vote in June 2022. A new model constitution for the LPCs was therefore drafted and taken to the recent SGMs held by Surrey LPC, West Sussex LPC and East Sussex LPC. At these meetings the vote outcome from all three LPCs was to adopt the new constitution.

The outcome of this vote will mean the following:

Surrey LPC:

Surrey LPC will move to a 10 member committee when the new 4 year committee date starts on the 1st of April 2023.

The committee will consist of 4 CCA members, 1 AIMp member and 5 IND members.

West Sussex LPC / East Sussex LPC:

West Sussex LPC and East Sussex LPC will merge to become Sussex LPC as of the 1st of July 2023. The 4 year committee start date has been extended by 3 months to allow for administration tasks to be carried out.

The committee will consist of 13 members which will be formed by 5 CCA members, 4 AIMp members and 4 IND members.

Member appointment:

CCA and AIMp will nominate members for their places however the IND places will be chosen by submitting an expression of interest. If more expressions of interest are received than the allocated places the appointment will be settled by IND contractor vote.

If you are an independent contractor and would like to express an interest in becoming an LPC member please complete the EOI for Surrey or the EOI for Sussex and email to the returning officer, Julia Powell by 17:00 on the 14th of March 2023.
