Help gather critical evidence for negotiating and lobbying work

Pharmacy owners and their teams in Surrey & Sussex are being asked for your help to measure the unfunded care the public receives from you.

Community Pharmacy England needs to get an accurate picture of the ‘halo’ effect of ever-more people seeking advice from community pharmacies – some of which falls outside of the funded Pharmacy First service – and make the case for increased funding for the sector.

As part of the Pharmacy Advice Audit, pharmacy teams are requested to record data about patients seeking informal advice from your pharmacy (outside of the Pharmacy First service) over the course of a single day between 3rd and 16th June.

Community Pharmacy England will use the data you provide in negotiations with Government and the NHS, as well as its wider lobbying work with MPs, Ministers, and the national media.

The results of similar audits:

  • Provided compelling evidence that was used in funding negotiations;
  • Appeared in national and local media articles and was talked about in Parliament; and
  • Helped build support for Community Pharmacy England’s cases for COVID-19 costs and Pharmacy First.

Surrey & Sussex LPC’s supports this audit and would encourage all pharmacy owners to take part who are able to do so. The more pharmacies who get involved, the stronger the data becomes.

Get involved on any single day in early June. Further information, guidance and resources are available from cpe.org.uk/adviceaudit
